Our caravan in Porthmadog
Giddo’s Gaff
Free holidays by the sea for young people with a cancer diagnosis, and for families mourning the loss of a young loved one.

Five years in the planning
Jordan’s favourite place
After five years of support and fundraising from everyone, we bought a beautiful caravan in Greenacres, Porthmadog, and our first bereaved family stayed there in August 2022.
Giddo’s Gaff sits on a lovely corner plot, number 18, which means a great deal to us, as Jord will be forever 18. It has three bedrooms, sleeps eight, and is fully furnished.
We offer short breaks free of charge to bereaved families, and to families who have a child or young person with a cancer diagnosis. Flint and District Lions donated the furnishings, and a kind lady’s will paid for the decking around the caravan.
Beachside memories
Lightening the load for families, and reminding young people that they are not alone, is what Giddo’s Gift is all about. Here are some of the families who stayed with us, in their own words.

Covering running costs
Keeping the Gaff open
Running Giddo’s Gaff is not without its challenges. Your donations cover:
- Site fees, to keep our caravan in its beautiful spot.
- Utilities and maintenance, so it is always welcoming and comfortable.
- Repairs and upkeep, so families arrive to a spotless, stress-free retreat.
These mean everything to the families who stay, giving them a break from everyday stress and some much-needed time together. Thank you for helping us share Jordan’s favourite place with others in need.

Has Giddo’s Gift helped your family?
We would love to hear your story. It helps other families find us, and shows funders what their support does.
